Brand Photoshoot for Sustainable Personal Care Brand
As a product photographer in Toronto, Mississauga, and Oakville, I love working with brands that challenge the ordinary. My recent brand photography photoshoot for Flush Bamboo, founded by entrepreneur Joselle, did exactly that.
The goal of this product photoshoot was to transform an everyday essential into something visually compelling while highlighting both its sustainable materials and elevated, luxury feel.
Using Light to Capture Texture and Quality
For this product photography session, I focused on using a mix of soft and hard lighting to bring out the texture of the bamboo paper.
Soft light created a clean, natural look that aligns with the brand’s eco-friendly positioning. Harder light added contrast and depth, helping emphasize the durability and structure of the product. This balance is key in brand photography, especially when capturing tactile products in a way that feels premium and intentional.
A Cohesive Color Story Inspired by the Brand
Flush Bamboo’s packaging features soft blue and peach tones, which became the foundation for the entire photoshoot. I carried these colors through the backdrops and styling to create a cohesive and elevated visual story.
To reinforce the brand’s sustainability, I incorporated botanical elements and natural wood textures, grounding the imagery in an earthy, organic feel. This approach is something I often bring into product photography in Toronto and Mississauga, where brands are looking to blend modern aesthetics with natural storytelling.
Adding Luxury Through Texture and Styling
To elevate the look and feel of the shoot, I introduced silk fabrics to contrast with the structured form of the product. This combination of materials helped position the brand within a more premium, lifestyle-focused space.
Strong styling is a key component of any successful brand photography photoshoot, especially for products that are traditionally seen as purely functional.
Creating Movement with Water
One of the most unique elements of this product photoshoot was the use of a real water feature. Using a plexiglass tray filled with water, I created soft ripples to add movement and dimension to the final images.
Fun fact: those ripples were created using a blow dryer. Definitely don’t try that at home.
This detail added a fresh, dynamic quality while reinforcing themes of softness and cleanliness.
Final Thoughts
This product photography session was all about redefining how everyday products are perceived. By combining intentional lighting, thoughtful styling, and a cohesive color palette, we created imagery that reflects Flush Bamboo’s mission: sustainable, functional, and beautifully designed.
If you’re looking for a product photographer in Toronto, Mississauga, or Oakville to bring your next brand photography photoshoot to life, I’d love to connect.
